HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Lion's Mane+ by Lifecykel
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Lion's Mane+ contains two active forms of lion's mane mushroom—the mycelium extract and the fruiting body extract—plus kakadu plum, a fruit rich in vitamin C. The product comes as a liquid and includes water and alcohol as inactive ingredients.
These 3 active ingredients are the working parts of the formula.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence for lion's mane mushroom on Alzheimer's disease, anxiety, athletic performance, cancer, cognitive function, and cognitive impairment is insufficient—the data we have doesn't support or rule out benefit for any of these uses. Kakadu plum is possibly effective for constipation, but the data for osteopenia, dyslipidemia (abnormal cholesterol or triglycerides), and hepatitis (liver inflammation) is also insufficient.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Lion's mane mushroom is generally well tolerated as a food, but long-term supplement safety hasn't been well studied. The most common side effects are gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, and skin rash.
Kakadu plum is generally well tolerated too, though it may cause flatulence and diarrhea; rarely, dried plums or plum pits have caused bowel obstruction. Since there isn't enough safety data in pregnancy or breastfeeding, both ingredients advise against use during those times—talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether this product is right for you.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you start, double-check with your pharmacist if you take blood thinners (anticoagulants or antiplatelet drugs) like warfarin or aspirin, diabetes medications, or immunosuppressants. These are the medication types with Moderate-severity interactions documented for this product.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Lion's Mane+ may be worth considering if you're interested in lion's mane or plum for general wellness, but talk with your pharmacist first if you take blood thinners, diabetes medications, or drugs that suppress your immune system. The evidence for its marketed purposes isn't solid yet.
Your healthcare provider can help you decide if it's appropriate for your situation.

Lion's Mane+ by Lifecykel Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Lion's Mane+ by Lifecykel contains two forms of lion's mane mushroom and kakadu plum—all three active ingredients carry documented interactions with medications.
The most serious concern is a Moderate-severity interaction with blood thinners (anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs). Both lion's mane extracts and kakadu plum may increase bleeding risk; the plum was studied in humans, where 200 mL of plum juice daily for 28 days prolonged clotting time and reduced how well platelets clump together, while lion's mane research is so far in vitro only.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Both lion's mane forms also interact Moderately with diabetes medications (antidiabetes drugs) and immunosuppressants. Animal research suggests lion's mane can lower blood sugar and raise insulin levels, potentially adding to the effect of your diabetes drug.
With immunosuppressants, lion's mane polysaccharides stimulate the immune system in lab and animal studies, which may work against the drug's job.
Additionally, kakadu plum's only other documented interaction is with blood thinners. No interactions are documented for kakadu plum with diabetes medications or immunosuppressants.
Altogether, these interactions span 322 individual medications. Use the medication checker on this page to see if any of yours are affected before you start.
