Here's the basic idea. Sotyktu (deucravacitinib) is a medicine that calms down an overactive immune system, which is how it helps clear psoriasis. Lion's mane works in the opposite direction in some early studies. Its polysaccharides seem to nudge the immune system to be more active. So in theory, taking lion's mane could push against what your medication is trying to do, and your psoriasis could become harder to control.

I want to be honest about how soft this evidence is. This concern comes only from lab and animal research, not from people taking these two together. We don't have real proof it causes problems in humans. Still, before you add lion's mane, it's worth a quick chat with your dermatologist or pharmacist so they can keep an eye on how you're doing.

What Is Deucravacitinib Used For?

Brand name: Sotyktu

Sotyktu (deucravacitinib) is approved to treat two conditions in adults. First, it treats moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis in people who are candidates for systemic (body-wide) therapy or phototherapy (light therapy). It is not recommended to combine Sotyktu with other strong immune-suppressing medications for this use.

Second, Sotyktu is approved to treat active psoriatic arthritis in adults.
