Live Restore Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Live Restore against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Live Restore by Life Extension Florassist
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Life Extension Florassist Live Restore contains 8 active ingredients: a prebiotic (fructooligosaccharide, which feeds beneficial bacteria), and seven live probiotic strains in a proprietary blend — Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Streptococcus thermophilus, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium breve, Bifidobacterium longum, and Lactobacillus bulgaricus. The capsules also contain inactive ingredients: vegetable cellulose and vegetable stearate.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence for most of these probiotics isn't yet well established in the data we hold. Lactobacillus acidophilus is rated possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Helicobacter pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis.
The other strains — Bifidobacterium breve, Bifidobacterium longum, Lactobacillus bulgaricus, and Streptococcus thermophilus — have insufficient reliable evidence for the conditions they're studied in. For Lactobacillus casei and Lactobacillus rhamnosus, we hold no effectiveness data.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
These probiotics are generally well tolerated in healthy adults and children. Fructooligosaccharide can cause gas, bloating, abdominal pain, and flatulence, especially at higher doses — though clinical studies show doses under 10 grams daily are usually mild.
Live probiotics carry a theoretical risk of infection in people with severely weakened immune systems, central lines, or critical illness; in healthy people with intact immunity, this risk is rare. If you're pregnant, Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium longum are rated possibly safe; Streptococcus thermophilus is also rated possibly safe in pregnancy.
Talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using this product during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
If you take antibiotic drugs, check with your doctor or pharmacist before adding this product — the live organisms it contains may be killed by antibiotics taken at the same time. Separate them by a few hours to protect the probiotic's effectiveness.
No other medication types are documented to interact with the ingredients we could check.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This is a multi-strain probiotic blend best suited for people looking to support digestive health, especially if you've had or are considering antibiotics (in which case timing matters — space them apart). If you take antibiotic medications, have a weakened immune system, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, discuss it with your doctor or pharmacist before starting.

Lactobacillus acidophilus PXN 35
Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Lactobacillus acidophilus with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of L. acidophilus.
L. acidophilus preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and L. acidophilus preparations by at least two hours.
Bifidobacterium breve PXN 25
Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Bifidobacterium breve with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of B. breve.
Since B. breve preparations usually contain live and active organisms, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and B. breve preparations by at least 2 hours.
Bifidobacterium longum PXN 30
Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Bifidobacterium longum with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of B. longum.
Since B. longum preparations usually contain live and active organisms, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and B. longum preparations by at least 2 hours.
Lactobacillus bulgaricus PXN 39
Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Lactobacillus delbrueckii with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of L. delbrueckii.
Lactobacillus delbrueckii preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and L. delbrueckii preparations by at least two hours.
