Ocuhills Ingredients & Drug Interactions
by Herbal Hills
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Ocuhills against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Ocuhills by Herbal Hills
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Ocuhills contains four ingredients: a proprietary herbal blend, Terminalia chebula, processed in Siddha Ghruta, Triphala, Terminalia belerica, and Emblica officinalis (also called Indian gooseberry). Terminalia chebula, Terminalia belerica, and Emblica officinalis are the main active herbs — they're traditional Ayurvedic ingredients believed to support eye and overall health.
The product also includes inactive ingredients (gelatin, glycerin, sorbitol, methylparaben, propyl paraben, and titanium dioxide) that are fillers and preservatives in the capsule.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The evidence for what Ocuhills does is limited. Terminalia chebula, Terminalia belerica, and Emblica officinalis each have insufficient reliable evidence in our data for most claimed uses — aging skin, respiratory infections, constipation, cough, diabetes, and diarrhea.
Emblica officinalis does show possibly effective evidence for acid reflux (GERD) and possibly effective evidence for high cholesterol (dyslipidemia), though the other ingredients lack established evidence for those purposes. We hold no effectiveness ratings for the proprietary blend itself or for 'Triphala' as a group.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Terminalia chebula and Terminalia belerica are generally used in traditional medicine, but human safety data are limited and product quality varies. Emblica officinalis is generally well tolerated as a food, though supplement safety is less studied.
In a small clinical study, a few people who took Triphala (which contains Terminalia chebula and Terminalia belerica) developed a hypersensitivity rash, and one person had facial swelling within minutes; it's unclear whether Triphala, another ingredient in that product, or something else caused it. Emblica officinalis has caused stomach discomfort and dyspepsia in up to four trial participants, fatigue in one, and musculoskeletal pain in three.
Terminalia chebula and Terminalia belerica are advised against in pregnancy due to insufficient safety data, and both should be avoided while breastfeeding. Emblica officinalis safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding at supplement doses is not well established; talk with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized guidance.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking Ocuhills, check with your pharmacist or doctor if you use blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (such as warfarin, clopidogrel, or aspirin) — the product may increase bleeding risk. If you take diabetes medications, confirm your blood sugar won't drop too far.
Also confirm any muscle relaxants (like chlorzoxazone), acid-reflux medications (like omeprazole), or drugs your liver metabolizes heavily, as this product may raise their levels in your body.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Ocuhills is a traditional Ayurvedic eye supplement with limited evidence for most of its claimed uses and several Moderate-severity interactions with common medications — especially blood thinners, diabetes drugs, and medications your liver processes. If you take any prescription drug, blood thinner, or diabetes medication, check your exact medications with the tool on this page before starting.
Discuss it with your own doctor or pharmacist, especially if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or considering it alongside other treatments.

Ocuhills by Herbal Hills Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Ocuhills by Herbal Hills interacts with medications through its Terminalia chebula, Terminalia belerica, and Emblica officinalis content.
The most serious concern is a Moderate-severity interaction with blood thinners (anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs): Emblica officinalis and Terminalia belerica may each increase bleeding risk, and clinical research on Indian gooseberry shows it reduces platelet clumping and increases bleeding time.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Terminalia chebula and Terminalia belerica can interfere with blood sugar control when combined with diabetes medications, raising the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). Terminalia chebula may also raise levels of chlorzoxazone (a muscle relaxant) and omeprazole (an acid reducer) in your body, potentially increasing side effects from those drugs.
Terminalia belerica additionally interacts with several drug-metabolizing enzymes in your liver (CYP2D6, CYP2C9, and CYP3A4 substrates), which could boost levels and effects of many common medications — antidepressants, heart drugs, and immunosuppressants among them.
We could not check one ingredient in this product: processed in Siddha Ghruta. Altogether, these interactions span 934 individual medications.
