The evidence for what this product does is incomplete. L. acidophilus is rated possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome, Helicobacter pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis.

How safe is it?
Well-documented data
These probiotics are generally well tolerated in healthy adults. However, because they are live organisms, there is a theoretical concern they could cause infection in people who are very ill, immunocompromised, or in the hospital — particularly those with central lines or catheters.
Gastrointestinal side effects like bloating, flatulence, abdominal pain, and discomfort have been reported, though they tend to be mild and uncommon. Fructo-Oligosaccharides can cause gas and bloating at higher doses.
Pregnancy data for L. acidophilus and S. thermophilus suggest possibly safe, but pregnancy and lactation data are not on file for most of the other strains — talk to your doctor before taking this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

If you want healthy skin, you have to start with your gut. Creams and lotions can be easily washed away by the environment and has limited coverage area, but Probiology Skin Therapy works from within your body by affecting what is known as the "gut-brain-skin axis" to help promote naturally healthy skin for the entire body.
Please allow 4-6 weeks to see results. However, for significant blemishes, it may take up to 8 weeks for improvement. Everyone's skin is different and some people may take longer than others to see results.

Theoretically, taking Lactobacillus acidophilus with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of L. acidophilus.
L. acidophilus preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and L. acidophilus preparations by at least two hours.
B. breve R0070
Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Bifidobacterium breve with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of B. breve.
Since B. breve preparations usually contain live and active organisms, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and B. breve preparations by at least 2 hours.
L. helveticus R0052
Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Lactobacillus helveticus with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of L. helveticus.
Lactobacillus helveticus preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and L. helveticus preparations by at least two hours.
