Every active ingredient lists its own amount on the label.

Why this rating?
  • The label discloses an exact amount for 2 of its 2 active ingredients.
  • No proprietary blends here — you can verify the dose of every single component.

This product has 2 active ingredients. Vanadium is a mineral that plays a role in normal body function and is found in foods at very small levels.

Chloride is an electrolyte your body needs for fluid balance and nerve signaling. The product also contains inactive ingredients: purified water and vanadium chloride, which is the vanadium compound itself.

Does it work?

Evidence for Intended Use · database check
By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed
Not established

The graded evidence we hold for these ingredients covers different conditions than the ones this product is marketed for, so there's no established rating for its stated use — see Vanadium's own graded uses on its monograph.

Why this rating?
  • The label markets this product for: blood sugar support and glucose metabolism.
  • We looked for evidence on: Diabetes, Impaired glucose tolerance (prediabetes), Insulin sensitivity, Metabolic syndrome.
  • The closest evidence on file: Vanadium is rated "Insufficient Reliable Evidence To Rate" for Diabetes (Natural Medicines).
  • Also on file: Vanadium is rated "Insufficient Reliable Evidence To Rate" for Impaired glucose tolerance (prediabetes).

The evidence we hold shows that vanadium supplementation is likely effective for vanadium deficiency. For other uses — athletic performance, cancer, diabetes, and high cholesterol — the evidence is insufficient to rate it reliably.

That means studies are either too small, too few, or too limited in quality to say whether this product actually works for those purposes.

How safe is it?

Well-documented data
Safety Information · database check
Well characterized

Adverse-effect, pregnancy, and general safety data are on file for most of these ingredients.

Why this rating?
  • We hold adverse-effect (side-effect) data for 1 of the 1 matched ingredient.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding safety ratings cover 1 of 1.
  • General safety write-ups exist for 1 of 1.
  • Remember: this measures how much safety information exists. Thin data is not the same as being safe.

Vanadium is generally well tolerated at dietary amounts and at supplement doses up to 1.8 mg daily. Higher doses may cause stomach upset, including nausea, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, and gas.

Long-term use at high doses has rarely caused kidney damage. Allergic reactions to vanadium (itching, rash, eye irritation) have been reported, though they are uncommon.

The safety data advises against using vanadium supplements during pregnancy because there isn't enough information to know it's safe. It's also best to avoid it while breastfeeding, as safety is unknown.

Talk with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized advice if you're pregnant or nursing.

Moderate interaction found

Moderate identified

The most serious documented interaction for these ingredients is Moderate. Check your medications for a personalized result.

Why this rating?
  • 1 of the 1 matched ingredient can interact with medications — Vanadium.
  • The most serious interaction on file is rated Moderate.
  • Some involve high-stakes drug classes: anticoagulant / antiplatelet drugs; diabetes medications.
  • For scale: 208 individual medications appear in the full list. A big number alone doesn't make a product dangerous — what matters is whether YOUR medication is on it, so run yours through the interaction checker on this page.

Check your exact medications before taking this product if you're on blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (like warfarin, aspirin, or clopidogrel) — vanadium may increase bleeding risk. Also check if you take diabetes medications — vanadium may lower blood sugar further.

We hold no interaction data for chloride.
