Clinical
This is an over-the-counter coated tablet taken by mouth that combines four active ingredients to address multiple cold and sinus symptoms. Acetaminophen is typically used to reduce pain and fever, while dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant. Guaifenesin functions as an expectorant to help thin mucus, and phenylephrine is a nasal decongestant meant to relieve sinus pressure and congestion. This product is marketed under FDA's over-the-counter monograph rules for combination cold and cough medicines.
