Aripiprazole Lauroxil falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Acacia Rigidula interacts with.

Theoretically, Acacia rigidula products that are adulterated with beta-methylphenylethylamine (BMPEA) might increase the levels of CYP2D6 substrates.
In vitro research shows that BMPEA, an adulterant found in many Acacia rigidula products, strongly inhibits CYP2D6 enzyme.

Here's the gist for your long-acting Aristada shots. Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to help clear aripiprazole out of your body. Some Acacia rigidula products have been found spiked with a stimulant called BMPEA, and in lab testing BMPEA blocks that very enzyme. If it slows your CYP2D6, aripiprazole could build up a bit more than usual, which might mean stronger side effects like restlessness, drowsiness, dizziness, trembling, or feeling jittery.

I want to be straight with you though: this is theoretical and only based on lab studies, not real patients, so we don't know how big the effect would be in a person. Given the safety questions around these products, I'd skip it and check with your doctor or pharmacist first.

Here's the gist for your Aristada (aripiprazole lauroxil) shot. Your body relies partly on an enzyme called CYP3A4 to break down aripiprazole. Some Acacia rigidula products have been found spiked with a stimulant called BMPEA, and in lab dish testing that compound slowed CYP3A4 by about a third. If that happened in real life, your aripiprazole could clear more slowly and build up, which might mean more side effects like restlessness, drowsiness, dizziness, tremor, or that inner urge to keep moving (akathisia).

I want to be honest, though: this is theoretical, based only on a lab study, not on people. The bigger worry with Acacia rigidula is the hidden stimulant itself. Please run any product by your pharmacist or doctor first.

Aripiprazole injection is used to treat schizophrenia and to provide maintenance treatment for bipolar I disorder in adults. Different injectable products carry these approvals.

Abilify Asimtufii is approved for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults and as maintenance monotherapy for bipolar I disorder in adults. Aristada is approved for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults, with Aristada Initio used specifically to help start Aristada therapy.
