Donepezil (patch) falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Acacia Rigidula interacts with.

Theoretically, Acacia rigidula products that are adulterated with beta-methylphenylethylamine (BMPEA) might increase the levels of CYP2D6 substrates.
In vitro research shows that BMPEA, an adulterant found in many Acacia rigidula products, strongly inhibits CYP2D6 enzyme.

Here's the concern with pairing an Acacia rigidula product with your donepezil patch (Adlarity). Some of these supplements have been found spiked with a stimulant called BMPEA. In lab studies, BMPEA blocks a liver enzyme called CYP2D6, and your body uses that same enzyme to help clear donepezil. If that pathway slows down, donepezil could build up a bit more than usual.

Donepezil is active on its own (not a prodrug), so higher levels tend to mean stronger effects and more side effects. With this drug that usually shows up as nausea, diarrhea, poor appetite, dizziness, a slow heartbeat, or trouble sleeping. Keep in mind this is only a theoretical, lab-based concern right now, not something proven in people. Still, given the safety questions around these supplements, I'd run it by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Theoretically, Acacia rigidula products that are adulterated with beta-methylphenylethylamine (BMPEA) might increase the levels of CYP3A4 substrates.

Here's the gist for your donepezil patch (Adlarity): your liver uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help break donepezil down. Some Acacia rigidula products have been found spiked with a stimulant called BMPEA, and in lab dish testing that compound slowed CYP3A4 by about a third. If that happened in the body, donepezil could clear more slowly and build up a bit, which may mean stronger side effects like nausea, diarrhea, loss of appetite, a slow heartbeat, dizziness, or trouble sleeping.

I want to be honest though: this is only test-tube evidence, not proven in people, so it's more of a caution than a certainty. On top of that, Acacia rigidula itself carries safety worries. I'd skip it and check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
