Why this applies to Isradipine

Isradipine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Acacia Rigidula interacts with.

Theoretically, Acacia rigidula products that are adulterated with beta-methylphenylethylamine (BMPEA) might increase the levels of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that BMPEA, an adulterant found in many Acacia rigidula products, inhibits CYP3A4 enzyme by 37%.

Here's the connection worth knowing. Your blood pressure pill isradipine is cleared from your body by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Some Acacia rigidula products have been found tainted with a stimulant called BMPEA, and in lab tests BMPEA slowed that same enzyme down by about a third. If the enzyme works slower, isradipine could build up higher than expected.

Since isradipine relaxes blood vessels, more of it in your system could mean your blood pressure drops too low. That might show up as dizziness, lightheadedness, flushing, headache, or a fast or pounding heartbeat. Keep in mind this is only a theory based on a test-tube study, not real patient data, and there's the added worry that Acacia rigidula itself acts as a stimulant. I'd skip it and check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
