Vincristine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Acacia Rigidula interacts with.

Theoretically, Acacia rigidula products that are adulterated with beta-methylphenylethylamine (BMPEA) might increase the levels of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that BMPEA, an adulterant found in many Acacia rigidula products, inhibits CYP3A4 enzyme by 37%.

Here's the concern in simple terms. Vincristine is a chemotherapy drug that your liver clears using an enzyme called CYP3A4. Some Acacia rigidula products have been found tainted with a stimulant called BMPEA, and lab research suggests BMPEA can partly block that same enzyme (by about 37% in a test tube). If that enzyme slows down, vincristine could build up in your body, and with this drug that may mean worse nerve-related side effects like tingling, numbness, weakness, constipation, or jaw pain.

I want to be honest about the evidence here. This is only theoretical, based on lab studies, not real patients. But since vincristine is a serious cancer medicine, please don't mix anything with it without first checking with your oncology team or pharmacist.

What Is Vincristine Injection Used For?

Vincristine Sulfate Injection is approved to treat acute leukemia. It is also used as part of combination chemotherapy regimens for Hodgkin's disease, non-Hodgkin's malignant lymphomas, rhabdomyosarcoma (a soft-tissue cancer), neuroblastoma (a cancer of nerve tissue), and Wilms' tumor (a kidney cancer in children).

Because it works best alongside other cancer medicines, vincristine is almost always given as part of a multi-drug treatment plan rather than on its own.
