Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
METHYLXANTHINES
Why this applies to Aspirin, Caffeine, Hydrocodone
Aspirin, Caffeine, Hydrocodone falls under METHYLXANTHINES — the group Adenosine interacts with.
The methylxanthines, aminophylline, caffeine, and theophylline, can block the effects of adenosine by acting as competitive antagonists at adenosine cell surface receptors. It is recommended that methylxanthines be avoided for 24 hours prior to cardiac stress tests.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the piece that matters in your combo pill: the caffeine. Caffeine is a methylxanthine, and it works partly by blocking the same receptors that adenosine acts on. So if you took an adenosine supplement, the caffeine could blunt some of adenosine's effects, and vice versa. The aspirin and hydrocodone parts aren't really involved here.
In everyday terms, this is a minor, theoretical concern based on how these chemicals behave, not on strong real-world reports. The one practical spot it counts: caffeine is advised to be held for about 24 hours before a cardiac stress test, since those tests often use adenosine. If you have a stress test coming up or any heart rhythm issues, mention this product to your pharmacist or doctor first.

About Adenosine
What is Adenosine?
- Energy and cellular function support
- Athletic performance and muscle energy
- Circulation support
- General wellness
Adenosine is a natural building block your body uses for energy and cell signaling, and a prescription injectable version is used by doctors to treat certain fast heart rhythms. As an over-the-counter supplement (often sold as AMP or ATP), there is little strong evidence that swallowing it boosts energy or performance, and quality can vary. Talk to your pharmacist before using adenosine supplements, especially if you have a heart condition.
