Here's the situation with Bepridil, an older heart rhythm and chest pain medicine. Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to break it down and clear it out. In lab dish studies, American elder appears to slow that same enzyme. If that happened in real life, your body might clear bepridil more slowly, letting it build up to higher levels than expected.

Why does that matter here? Bepridil can affect your heart's electrical timing (it can lengthen the QT interval), and higher levels raise the risk of serious irregular heartbeats, plus dizziness or nausea. The catch is that this is only theoretical lab evidence, not proven in people. Still, because bepridil is a touchy drug, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them.
