Evidence from animal research suggests that extracts of bael seed and leaf can reduce blood glucose levels. Theoretically, bael might have additive effects with antidiabetes drugs and increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Dose adjustments might be necessary.
Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.

Here's the gist with Kazano (that's alogliptin plus metformin): bael fruit may gently lower blood sugar on its own. So when you pair it with a medication that already brings your numbers down, the two could add up and push your blood sugar a little too low. Signs of that low (hypoglycemia) include feeling shaky, sweaty, dizzy, irritable, or suddenly hungry.

I want to be honest about the strength here. This concern comes mainly from animal studies, not solid human research, so it's more of a theoretical caution than a proven problem. Food amounts of bael are unlikely to rock the boat, but concentrated supplements are harder to predict. If you'd like to try bael, keep an eye on your readings and check in with your pharmacist or doctor first.
