Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS
Why this applies to Rescinnamine
Rescinnamine falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Basil interacts with.
Animal research suggests that basil extract can reduce systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Rescinnamine (Moderil) is an older blood pressure medicine that calms the nervous system and relaxes your vessels to bring numbers down. The concern here is simple: concentrated basil supplements or basil essential oil may nudge blood pressure lower on their own. Stack that on top of Rescinnamine and the two could add together, possibly pushing you a little too low.
If that happened, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or faint when standing up. I'll be honest though, this is a theoretical worry based on animal studies, not strong human data. Everyday cooking amounts of basil in your food are very unlikely to matter. If you're considering basil capsules or oil, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

This page covers Basil only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Rescinnamine page lists 136 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.
The most serious there right now: Activated Charcoal (major), American Hellebore (major), American Mistletoe (major), Tyramine (major) and Adrafinil (moderate).
By severity: 4 major · 111 moderate · 21 minor.
From our pharmacist’s overview on the Rescinnamine page
“American hellebore is the entry I would flag first for anyone taking rescinnamine (Moderil). Even small amounts of the herb drop blood pressure sharply and can slow the heart, and rescinnamine is already working to bring pressure down.”

Rescinnamine Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Rescinnamine as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Basil — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
