Bergamot is a Mediterranean citrus fruit, and its standardized extract is most often used to support cholesterol and heart health, with some early but promising research. About Ursodiol

What Is Ursodiol Used For?

Brand name: Actigall

Ursodiol capsules (including Reltone, Ursolign, and generic ursodiol capsules) are used to dissolve certain types of gallstones — specifically small, non-calcified cholesterol stones — in people who cannot have or prefer not to have gallbladder surgery. Capsules are also used to prevent gallstones from forming in people who are losing weight rapidly.

Ursodiol tablets — including Urso 250, Urso Forte, and generic ursodiol tablets — are indicated for the treatment of primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), a chronic liver disease that damages the bile ducts inside the liver.
