Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
SEIZURE THRESHOLD LOWERING DRUGS
Why this applies to Ephedrine, Phenobarbital, Potassium Iodide, Theophylline
Ephedrine, Phenobarbital, Potassium Iodide, Theophylline falls under SEIZURE THRESHOLD LOWERING DRUGS — the group Biofeedback interacts with.
Some drugs that lower the seizure threshold include anesthetics (propofol, others), antiarrhythmics (mexiletine), antibiotics (amphotericin, penicillin, cephalosporins, imipenem), antidepressants (bupropion, others), antihistamines (cyproheptadine, others), immunosuppressants (cyclosporine), narcotics (fentanyl, others), stimulants (methylphenidate), theophylline, and others.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
This is a mind-body concern, not a chemical one, so it helps to look at one ingredient in your combination product: theophylline. Theophylline is a stimulant-type breathing medicine, and at higher levels it can lower the body's seizure threshold (meaning seizures become a little easier to trigger). The same is true of the ephedrine in this product. There is a small theoretical worry that EEG (brainwave) biofeedback could nudge that threshold lower too, so stacking them might add up.
Keep in mind this is only a possible, theoretical interaction based on limited evidence, not something proven to happen often. Most people use biofeedback safely. Still, if you have a seizure history or notice jitteriness, a racing heart, or feel unusually wired, mention this combination to your doctor or pharmacist before continuing.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Ephedrine, Phenobarbital, Potassium Iodide, Theophylline page
“Quadrinal and Mudrane combine a stimulant (ephedrine) and a sedative (phenobarbital) with theophylline and potassium iodide, so supplements that push in either direction can cause real trouble, and this list of 179 interacting ingredients deserves genuine care. The everyday risk to understand is caffeine: with ephedrine it has been lin…”

About Biofeedback
What is Biofeedback?
- Chronic pain
- Headaches and migraines
- Anxiety and stress
- High blood pressure
- Urinary incontinence
- Tension and muscle relaxation
Biofeedback is a mind-body technique, not an herb or supplement. It uses sensors to show you real-time information about body functions like heart rate, muscle tension, or skin temperature so you can learn to control them. It is generally very safe and has reasonable evidence for headaches, certain pain conditions, and pelvic floor problems, but it works best alongside standard medical care.
