Dextroamphetamine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Boswellia Serrata interacts with.

Theoretically, Boswellia serrata might increase the levels of CYP2D6 substrates.
In vitro research shows that Boswellia serrata gum resin inhibits CYP2D6 enzymes.

Here's the basic idea: your body uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to help clear dextroamphetamine. Lab studies (done in test tubes, not in people) suggest Boswellia serrata may slow that enzyme down. If that happened in real life, dextroamphetamine could build up a bit higher than usual, which might mean stronger or longer-lasting effects like a faster heartbeat, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, reduced appetite, or feeling on edge.

I want to be honest, though, this is theoretical. It's based only on early laboratory work, not on actual patients, so we don't know if it truly matters at supplement doses. Still, since this is a stimulant, it's worth mentioning to your pharmacist or doctor before combining the two so they can keep an eye on how you feel.

What Is Dextroamphetamine Used For?

Brand name: Dexedrine

Dextroamphetamine treats two conditions: ADHD and narcolepsy (a sleep disorder causing uncontrollable daytime sleepiness). It is available in multiple forms — tablets, extended-release capsules, oral solution, and a skin patch — and the approved age ranges vary by product.

Oral tablets (Zenzedi, generic) and oral solutions (Procentra, generic) are approved for ADHD in children as young as 3 years old and for narcolepsy. Extended-release capsules (Dexedrine, generic) are approved for ADHD in children ages 6 to 16 and for narcolepsy. Xelstrym, the transdermal patch, is approved only for ADHD — in adults and children ages 6 and older — and is not indicated for narcolepsy.
