Treximet combines two medicines: naproxen (an anti-inflammatory pain reliever) and sumatriptan (a migraine medicine). The concern here is mostly theoretical and comes from lab dish studies only. In those studies, boswellia appeared to slow down a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. If that happened in the body, levels of a medicine cleared by that enzyme could creep up a bit, leading to stronger effects or more side effects.

For Treximet, that might mean things like stomach upset, heartburn, drowsiness, dizziness, or tingling. Honestly, this is weak evidence and neither drug relies heavily on CYP1A2, so a real-world problem is unlikely. Still, since both drugs already carry their own cautions, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Treximet combines naproxen (an anti-inflammatory pain reliever) with sumatriptan (a migraine medicine). The naproxen part is cleared partly by a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. In test-tube studies, boswellia appears to slow that enzyme down. If that happened in real life, naproxen could hang around a bit longer and build up, which might mean more of its usual side effects like stomach upset, heartburn, or in some cases stomach irritation or bleeding.

I want to be honest about how soft this evidence is. This is theoretical, based only on lab work, not on real patients, so it may not amount to much. Still, since both boswellia and naproxen are often used for the same joint and pain problems, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist before combining them.
