Celecoxib, Tramadol falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Bulbine Natalensis interacts with.

Theoretically, Bulbine natalensis stem might reduce the levels and clinical effects of CYP2C9 substrates.
In vitro research shows that Bulbine natalensis stem extract induces CYP2C9 mRNA expression and enzyme activity. Theoretically, this may increase the metabolism of CYP2C9 substrates; however, this has not been studied in humans.

This combo pill (Seglentis) pairs celecoxib, an anti-inflammatory pain reliever, with tramadol, an opioid-type pain medicine. Lab studies suggest Bulbine natalensis may speed up a liver enzyme called CYP2C9, which helps process celecoxib. If that happens, celecoxib could clear out faster, meaning less pain and inflammation relief than you expect.

Honestly, this is theoretical right now. It comes only from test-tube research, not real people, so we can't say how much (if anything) it would change for you. There's a separate reason to be cautious, though: Bulbine has raised liver and kidney concerns in animal studies, and these pain medicines can also stress those organs. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them.

Seglentis combines two medicines: celecoxib (an anti-inflammatory for pain) and tramadol (an opioid-type pain reliever that is actually a prodrug, meaning your body has to activate it to get full pain relief). Both interact with the CYP3A4 enzyme pathway. Lab studies suggest Bulbine natalensis may speed up CYP3A4, which would clear celecoxib faster and possibly make it less effective for pain and swelling.

For tramadol the picture is trickier, since CYP3A4 is part of how it is processed, and changes could shift how much pain relief or side effects you feel. Honestly, this is only test-tube evidence and has never been studied in people, so the real effect is unknown. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
