Anisindione falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Bupleurum interacts with.

Theoretically, bupleurum might increase the risk of bleeding when taken with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
In vitro research suggests that saikosaponins, constituents of bupleurum, can inhibit platelet aggregation.

Anisindione (Miradon) is an old-style blood thinner, similar in spirit to warfarin. Its whole job is to slow down your blood's ability to clot, so you bruise and bleed a little more easily than usual. Bupleurum may add to that effect. Lab studies hint that its saikosaponins can keep platelets from clumping together, which is another piece of how blood forms clots. Stack that on top of an anticoagulant and you could tip toward too much thinning.

Keep in mind this is theory, based on test-tube work, not real patient reports. Still, since blood thinners leave little room for error, watch for warning signs like nosebleeds, bleeding gums, unusual bruising, or dark stools. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding bupleurum.
