Here's the gist with pork insulin and bupleurum. Insulin's job is to lower your blood sugar. The concern here is that some animal studies hint bupleurum's active compounds (saikosaponins) may actually raise blood glucose. If that happens, it could work against your insulin and make it harder to keep your numbers in range.

I want to be honest though: this is theoretical, based mostly on lab and animal research, not solid human studies. So it's a caution, not a sure thing. If you do try bupleurum, the smart move is to check your sugars a little more closely and watch for higher readings. Please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before adding it, and never adjust your insulin dose on your own.
