Sofosbuvir, Velpatasvir, Voxilaprevir falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Cabbage interacts with.

Theoretically, cabbage might decrease levels of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2.
Some animal research suggests that cabbage or its constituent indole-3-carbinol might increase drug metabolism and elimination by stimulating CYP1A2 activity.

Here's the honest answer: this concern is very theoretical. The interaction on file says cabbage might speed up an enzyme called CYP1A2, which could in turn lower blood levels of medicines that enzyme breaks down. But that idea comes only from lab and animal studies, not from people taking Vosevi (sofosbuvir, velpatasvir, and voxilaprevir).

Vosevi is mainly handled by other pathways and transporters, not chiefly by CYP1A2, so I wouldn't expect eating cabbage to meaningfully reduce how well it clears your hepatitis C. Normal food amounts of cabbage are very unlikely to matter. If you're using concentrated cabbage or indole-3-carbinol supplements, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first, since finishing your full Vosevi course at full strength is what cures the infection.

What Is Sofosbuvir, Velpatasvir, and Voxilaprevir Used For?

Brand name: Vosevi

Vosevi is used to treat chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in adults who do not have cirrhosis or who have compensated cirrhosis (mild liver scarring that is still functioning). It is specifically for people who have already been treated with an HCV regimen before and need a different option.

Vosevi is approved for adults with HCV genotype 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 who previously took a medicine that included an NS5A inhibitor. It is also approved for adults with genotype 1a or 3 who previously took sofosbuvir without an NS5A inhibitor.
