Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CNS DEPRESSANTS
Why this applies to Propiomazine
Propiomazine falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group California Poppy interacts with.
Laboratory research shows that California poppy has sedative effects.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Propiomazine (Largon) is a sedating medicine, often used to help with sleep and to calm patients before or during procedures. On its own, it can make you quite drowsy and a bit groggy. The concern here is simple: California poppy is also thought to have its own calming, sleep-promoting effect. Stack the two together and those sedating effects may pile up.
In plain terms, you could end up feeling more drowsy, dizzy, foggy-headed, or slow to react than you'd expect from the medicine alone. I'll be honest with you though: this warning comes only from lab and animal studies, not from human trials, so it's more of a theoretical caution than a proven problem. Still, since both lean the same direction, it's worth a quick chat with your doctor or pharmacist before combining them.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Propiomazine page
“Propiomazine (Largon) is prescribed to sedate, and that is exactly why these interactions deserve genuine care. Of the 95 supplement and herbal ingredients with an interaction on file, 78 are themselves CNS depressants, meaning they pile drowsiness onto a drug whose whole job is drowsiness.”
