Troglitazone falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Clove interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of clove extracts with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Clinical and laboratory research suggest that polyphenol extracts from clove flower buds might lower blood glucose levels. Dosing adjustments for insulin or oral hypoglycemic agents may be necessary when taken with clove. Monitor blood glucose levels closely.

Here's the gist: troglitazone (Rezulin) is a diabetes medicine that helps lower your blood sugar. Some lab and early research hints that concentrated clove extracts may nudge blood sugar down too. So in theory, pairing the two could push your numbers a little lower than expected, raising the chance of low blood sugar (think shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or feeling confused).

I want to be straight with you, though: this is a theoretical concern based on how clove behaves, not proven cases in people. Sprinkling clove on your food almost certainly won't matter. Concentrated clove oil or supplements are the real question. If you're using those regularly, check your blood sugar more closely and chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adjusting anything.
