Here's the gist with Troglitazone (Rezulin), a diabetes medicine that helps your body use insulin more effectively and lower blood sugar. The concern here is simple: animal studies suggest Madagascar periwinkle may also push blood sugar down on its own. If you stack the two together, the worry is that your sugar could drop too low (hypoglycemia), causing things like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, confusion, or feeling faint.

I want to be honest about the evidence though. This is based only on lab and animal research, not human studies, so it's more of a theoretical caution than a proven problem. On top of that, the raw plant itself is toxic and shouldn't be used as a home remedy. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before combining anything like this, and keep an eye on your blood sugar.
