ORAL DRUGS
Why this applies to Lisdexamfetamine
Lisdexamfetamine falls under ORAL DRUGS — the group Coffee Charcoal interacts with.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the simple version: charcoal-like materials are sticky in the gut. They can grab onto medicine you swallow before your body absorbs it. If coffee charcoal binds to your Vyvanse dose, less may get into your system. That could mean weaker results, like more trouble focusing or feeling like your usual dose just isn't working that day.
The good news is this is a theoretical concern based on how charcoal behaves, not strong proof, and the fix is easy: spacing them out by at least two hours usually prevents the problem. Vyvanse is taken once in the morning, so it's often simple to keep them apart. Check the timing with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

About Coffee Charcoal
What is Coffee Charcoal?
- Diarrhea

- Wound and skin care (topical, traditional)
Coffee charcoal is made by roasting green coffee beans until they turn black, creating a charcoal-like material used traditionally for diarrhea and digestive complaints.
