    Colocynth

    “Orally, ingestion of colocynth 0.6-1 grams can cause severe irritation of the gastric mucosa and bloody diarrhea (2,18). Cases of bloody diarrhea and intestinal cramps have been reported in case reports of individuals consuming the fresh fruit, the 'size of an orange' or unknown amounts of the extract. Colocynth ingestion can also cause acute toxic colitis.”

What Is Pegvaliase-pqpz Injection Used For?

Brand name: Palynziq

Palynziq is used to reduce blood phenylalanine (Phe) concentrations in adults and pediatric patients 12 years of age and older who have phenylketonuria (PKU) — a genetic condition in which the body cannot break down the amino acid phenylalanine properly. It is specifically for patients whose blood phenylalanine levels remain above 600 micromol/L despite existing management.

Palynziq does not cure PKU, but it works alongside dietary management to bring dangerously high phenylalanine levels down to a safer range.
