Bromfenac Sodium falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Eleuthero interacts with.

Theoretically, eleuthero may have antiplatelet effects and may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
In vitro and animal research shows that a constituent of eleuthero, dihydroxybenzoic acid, appears to inhibit platelet aggregation. Concomitant use with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs might increase the risk of bleeding. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist with Eleuthero and Bromfenac (Prolensa, BromSite). Eleuthero contains a compound that, in lab and animal studies, seems to make platelets a little less sticky. Since bromfenac is an NSAID and NSAIDs can also nudge bleeding risk slightly, the theory is that combining them might add up to a bit more chance of bruising or bleeding.

Now, the good news: bromfenac is an eye drop used after cataract surgery, so very little gets into your bloodstream. That makes a real bleeding problem from this pairing quite unlikely. Also, this interaction has only been seen in test tubes and animals, never in actual people. Still, around eye surgery it's smart to mention any supplements to your surgeon or pharmacist.
