Fluorouracil (IV) falls under IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS — the group Eleuthero interacts with.

Theoretically, eleuthero might interfere with immunosuppressive drugs because of its immunostimulant activity.

Here's the gist for fluorouracil, often called 5-FU. This is a chemotherapy drug given by IV, and part of how it works is by tamping down rapidly dividing cells, which has an immune-suppressing side. Eleuthero, on the other hand, is thought to gently rev up immune activity. So in theory the two could pull in opposite directions, with eleuthero possibly working against what your treatment is trying to do.

I want to be honest about the strength of this concern: it comes only from lab and animal studies, not from real people on chemo, so it's theoretical. Still, with something as important as cancer treatment, I wouldn't add eleuthero on your own. Please run it by your oncologist or pharmacist first.
