Gatifloxacin falls under ORGANIC ANION-TRANSPORTING POLYPEPTIDE SUBSTRATES (OATP) — the group Eleuthero interacts with.

Theoretically, eleuthero might decrease levels of drugs metabolized by OATP.
In vitro research suggests that eleuthero inhibits OATP2B1, which might reduce the bioavailability of oral drugs that are substrates of OATP2B1. Due to the weak inhibitory effect identified in this study, this interaction is not likely to be clinically significant.

Here is the honest take on combining eleuthero with gatifloxacin, an antibiotic in the fluoroquinolone family. In lab dish studies (not in people), eleuthero appears to mildly block a transporter called OATP2B1, which helps move certain drugs from your gut into your bloodstream. In theory, blocking that doorway a little could mean slightly less of the antibiotic gets absorbed, which might mean it works less effectively against your infection.

That said, the effect seen in the lab was weak, and there is no real-world evidence it causes problems. Gatifloxacin is not a prodrug, so it does not need activating. I would not lose sleep over this, but since finishing an antibiotic fully matters, it never hurts to mention any supplement to your pharmacist or doctor.
