Methamphetamine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Eleuthero interacts with.

Theoretically, eleuthero might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2D6.
In vitro and animal research suggest that standardized extracts of eleuthero might inhibit CYP2D6. However, research in healthy human volunteers has found that taking eleuthero 485 mg twice daily for 14 days does not inhibit CYP2D6 drug metabolism.

Here's the idea behind this pairing: your liver uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to help break down methamphetamine (Desoxyn). Lab and animal studies hinted that eleuthero might slow that enzyme down a bit. If that happened, methamphetamine could linger longer in your body, which in theory could nudge up its stimulant effects like a faster heartbeat, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, or appetite loss.

The reassuring part is that when researchers actually tested this in healthy people, eleuthero at 485 mg twice daily for two weeks did not meaningfully block CYP2D6. So this concern is mostly theoretical and unlikely to cause real trouble. Still, since methamphetamine is a powerful stimulant, it's worth a quick word with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
