Here's the basic idea with this pairing. European mandrake contains tropane alkaloids (like atropine and scopolamine) that slow down how fast your gut moves. When your digestive tract slows, a pill like cilostazol can sit in your system longer and get absorbed more completely. In theory, that could nudge your cilostazol levels up a bit and make its effects, and side effects, stronger.

For cilostazol specifically, that might mean more headache, dizziness, a pounding or racing heartbeat, diarrhea, or flushing. I'll be honest though, this concern is theoretical, based on how these chemicals behave rather than real case reports. The bigger issue is that mandrake itself is genuinely toxic and unsafe to take at all. Please skip the mandrake and talk with your pharmacist or doctor before combining anything with cilostazol.
