First, the big picture: European mandrake is genuinely poisonous, and I would not put it anywhere near your medicine cabinet. Setting that aside, here is the specific concern with Clobazam. Mandrake's tropane alkaloids slow down how fast your gut moves things along. When your digestion crawls, a pill like clobazam can linger longer and get absorbed more completely, so more of it may end up in your bloodstream.

For clobazam, that could mean stronger than expected effects: extra drowsiness, dizziness, trouble with balance, or feeling foggy and slowed down. Keep in mind this is a theoretical worry based on how these compounds behave, not solid proof. Still, please don't combine them, and talk with your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.

What Is Clobazam Used For?

Brand names: Frisium, Onfi, Sympazan

Clobazam is used as an add-on (adjunctive) treatment for seizures linked to Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS), a severe form of childhood-onset epilepsy. It is approved for patients 2 years of age and older.

This indication applies to all available forms: Sympazan (dissolving oral film), Onfi (tablets and oral suspension), and generic clobazam tablets and oral suspension.
