Here's the simple version: European mandrake can slow down how fast your gut moves things along. When your digestion slows, an oral pill like Emcyt (estramustine) may sit in your system longer and get absorbed more completely. In theory, that means more of the drug ends up in your bloodstream than expected, which could turn up its usual side effects, things like nausea, fluid retention and swelling, breast tenderness, and a higher risk of blood clots.

I want to be honest with you, though: this concern is theoretical, based on how these chemicals behave, not on real studies in people. The bigger issue is that mandrake itself is genuinely toxic and we don't recommend taking it at all. Please talk with your oncologist or pharmacist before mixing anything new with your cancer treatment.
