European Mandrake + Ixazomib Citrate
Ixazomib Citrate brand name: Ninlaro.
European Mandrake has a moderate interaction with Ixazomib Citrate. Theoretically, concurrent use might increase absorption of some drugs because of inhibited gastrointestinal (GI) motility caused by European mandrake.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ORAL DRUGS
Why this applies to Ixazomib Citrate
Ixazomib Citrate falls under ORAL DRUGS — the group European Mandrake interacts with.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Let me start with the big one: European mandrake is genuinely toxic and should not be taken, period. It can cause poisoning on its own, never mind mixing it with chemo. So please don't use it. With that said, here's the theoretical concern on file. Mandrake's tropane alkaloids slow down how fast your gut moves things along. When your gut slows down, an oral drug like Ninlaro can sit there longer and potentially get absorbed more than expected.
For ixazomib, which is an active drug (not a prodrug), more absorption could mean stronger effects and worse side effects, things like nausea, diarrhea or constipation, low blood counts, and nerve tingling in your hands and feet. This is only a theory based on how these chemicals behave, not proven cases. Still, please talk with your oncologist or pharmacist before adding anything.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Ixazomib Citrate page
“Anyone taking ixazomib citrate (Ninlaro) for multiple myeloma should give this list real weight, because a supplement that shifts this chemotherapy's blood level can shift how well it works against the cancer. Of the 168 ingredients on file, 121 act on CYP3A4, the enzyme that clears ixazomib.”

European mandrake is a highly toxic plant from the nightshade family that was used in ancient and medieval times as a sedative and pain reliever. About Ixazomib
What Is Ixazomib Used For?
Brand name: Ninlaro
Ninlaro (ixazomib) is used to treat multiple myeloma — a cancer of plasma cells in the bone marrow. It is not used alone; it is always taken together with two other medicines, lenalidomide and dexamethasone. This combination is for adults who have already received at least one prior treatment for their myeloma.
Ninlaro is not recommended for use as maintenance therapy or in newly diagnosed multiple myeloma patients on a lenalidomide and dexamethasone regimen outside of controlled clinical trials.
