Hexobarbital falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C19 (CYP2C19) SUBSTRATES — the group Eurycoma Longifolia interacts with.

Theoretically, Eurycoma longifolia might increase levels of CYP2C19 substrates.
In vitro research suggests that methanolic Eurycoma longifolia root extract weakly inhibits CYP2C19 enzymes. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist for hexobarbital, which is an older barbiturate sedative your body partly clears using a liver enzyme called CYP2C19. In test tube studies, tongkat ali appears to weakly slow that enzyme down. If that happened in real life, your body might clear hexobarbital a little more slowly, so it could build up and lean toward stronger effects like extra drowsiness, grogginess, or feeling slowed down.

I want to be honest with you though: this is purely theoretical, based on lab data and never actually shown in people. The expected effect is mild at most. Still, since hexobarbital already causes sedation, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining the two, especially at concentrated supplement doses.
