Buproprion, Dextromethorphan falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Evodia interacts with.

Theoretically, evodia might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that evodia extract inhibits hepatic CYP3A4. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Auvelity combines bupropion and dextromethorphan, and the bupropion part is actually there to slow down how fast your body clears dextromethorphan, which keeps its antidepressant effect going. Lab studies suggest Evodia can block a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. If that played out in people, dextromethorphan could build up a bit more, which might mean more dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, or a higher chance of side effects.

Here's the honest part: this is only test-tube and animal data, and it hasn't been seen in real patients. So it's more of a theoretical caution than a proven problem. Still, since Auvelity affects mood and brain chemistry, I'd check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing it with Evodia rather than guessing.
