Fondaparinux falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Fenugreek interacts with.

Theoretically, fenugreek might have additive effects when used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Some of the constituents in fenugreek have antiplatelet effects in animal and in vitro research. However, common fenugreek products might not contain sufficient concentrations of these constituents for clinical effects. A clinical study in patients with coronary artery disease or diabetes shows that taking fenugreek seed powder 2.5 grams twice daily for 3 months does not affect platelet aggregation, fibrinolytic activity, or fibrinogen levels .

Here's the gist: fondaparinux (Arixtra) is a blood thinner that lowers your blood's ability to clot. Fenugreek contains some compounds that, at least in lab and animal studies, may have a mild blood-thinning effect of their own. The worry is that stacking them could add up and make you more prone to bruising or bleeding, like nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or a cut that takes longer to stop.

That said, this concern is mostly theoretical. One human study using a fairly large daily dose of fenugreek seed powder didn't actually change how the blood clotted. Cooking amounts in food are very unlikely to matter. If you're taking fenugreek as a concentrated supplement, just give your pharmacist or doctor a heads-up so they can keep an eye on you. Don't change your fondaparinux on your own.

About Fondaparinux Injection

What Is Fondaparinux Injection Used For?

Brand name: Arixtra

Fondaparinux sodium injection is used to prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) — blood clots that form in the legs — in adults who are having hip fracture surgery, hip replacement surgery, knee replacement surgery, or abdominal surgery. For hip fracture patients, an extended course of prevention is recommended after the initial treatment period.

It is also used to treat an existing DVT or acute pulmonary embolism (PE — a clot in the lungs) in adults, always given alongside warfarin sodium until warfarin reaches a therapeutic level. In pediatric patients aged 1 year and older who weigh at least 10 kg, fondaparinux sodium injection is approved for the treatment of venous thromboembolism (VTE — blood clots in the veins).
