Trichlormethiazide is a thiazide-type water pill (diuretic) used to bring blood pressure down and help your body get rid of extra fluid. Here's the gist: fenugreek may have a mild blood pressure-lowering effect of its own, so taking it alongside a blood pressure medicine like this one could add up and push your numbers a little lower than expected.

I want to keep this in perspective. This is rated a minor interaction, and the data comes mostly from animal studies, not strong human trials. Cooking with fenugreek as a spice is very unlikely to matter; concentrated supplement doses are more of a question mark. If you do combine them, just check your blood pressure at home and watch for dizziness, lightheadedness, or feeling faint when standing. Loop in your pharmacist or doctor before adding the supplement.
