Fenugreek may also have an additive effect on blood pressure-lowering medications. Studies on animals have shown that fenugreek seed can decrease both systolic and diastolic blood pressure by up to 22% when combined with metoprolol. Therefore, it is essential to monitor your blood pressure regularly if you are taking fenugreek and metoprolol together or any other antihypertensive drugs.

Here's the simple version: amlodipine already works by relaxing your blood vessels to bring your numbers down. Fenugreek, when taken in concentrated supplement doses, may nudge blood pressure a little lower too. Put them together and the effects can add up, so your pressure could dip more than you expect.

If that happens, you might notice dizziness, lightheadedness when standing up, or feeling unusually tired. Honestly, this is a minor concern and the evidence is thin (mostly animal data), and a sprinkle of fenugreek in cooking is very unlikely to matter. Still, if you start a fenugreek supplement, it's smart to check your blood pressure at home for a couple of weeks and loop in your pharmacist or doctor.

About Amlodipine

What Is Amlodipine Used For?

Brand name: Norliqva

Amlodipine treats high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and children aged 6–17 years. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of strokes and heart attacks. Sdamlo (oral solution) is specifically indicated for hypertension in adults and pediatric patients 6 years of age and older.

Amlodipine also treats coronary artery disease in adults, including chronic stable angina (chest pain with exertion), vasospastic angina (Prinzmetal's or variant angina, caused by coronary artery spasms), and documented coronary artery disease in patients without heart failure or significantly reduced heart pumping function.
