Carbenicillin Indanyl Sodium falls under ANTIBIOTIC DRUGS — the group Fermented Milk interacts with.

Theoretically, antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of fermented milk.
Some fermented milk preparations contain live and active organisms, including lactobacilli and bifidobacteria strains. Simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of these organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and fermented milk preparations by at least 2 hours.

Here's the simple version: the concern runs the other way from what people usually worry about. Taking Geocillin (carbenicillin indanyl sodium) won't get stronger or weaker from fermented milk. Instead, the antibiotic can knock out the live good bacteria (like lactobacilli) that fermented milk such as yogurt or kefir provides. In other words, the antibiotic may cancel out the probiotic benefit, not the medicine's ability to fight your infection.

This is a theoretical idea based on how antibiotics work, not something proven in studies, so don't be alarmed. If you want the probiotic perks, a common tip is to space them out by about two hours from your dose. Your medicine will still do its job either way. Check with your pharmacist if you have questions.
