Fermented Milk + Golimumab
Golimumab brand name: Simponi Aria.
Fermented Milk has a moderate interaction with Golimumab. Theoretically, fermented milk might decrease the effects of immunosuppressants.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS
Why this applies to Golimumab
Golimumab falls under IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS — the group Fermented Milk interacts with.
Clinical research suggests that fermented milk has immunostimulant effects.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thinking behind this pairing. Golimumab (Simponi or Simponi Aria) works by calming down an overactive immune system, which is how it eases the joint pain and swelling of conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis. Fermented milk products, on the other hand, contain live probiotic microbes that some research suggests can gently stimulate the immune system. So in theory, the two could pull in opposite directions, and the concern is that fermented milk might slightly blunt how well golimumab quiets things down.
I want to be honest though: this is only a theoretical concern based on how these things work, not proven in people taking golimumab. A serving of yogurt or kefir is very unlikely to undo your treatment. The bigger thing to mention to your doctor is that golimumab itself can lower your defenses, so if you have a weakened immune system, ask before using probiotic supplements.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Golimumab page

About Golimumab Injection
What Is Golimumab Injection Used For?
Brand name: Simponi Aria
Golimumab injection is used to treat several inflammatory conditions. Simponi (subcutaneous) is approved for adults with moderately to severely active rheumatoid arthritis (in combination with methotrexate), active psoriatic arthritis, active ankylosing spondylitis, and moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis in adults and pediatric patients weighing at least 15 kg.
Simponi Aria (intravenous) is used for adults with moderately to severely active rheumatoid arthritis. Both products target the same inflammation pathway but are given by different routes and are each approved for specific conditions — they are not interchangeable across all uses.
