Dr. Brian Staiger, PharmD, BCPS
Dr. Brian Staiger explains PharmD, Clinical Pharmacist

Here's the gist: Sitaxsentan (Thelin) is used to relax blood vessels and lower the pressure in the lungs for pulmonary hypertension, so it can nudge your overall blood pressure down. Some research suggests fermented milk may also gently lower your top number (systolic blood pressure). Put the two together and, in theory, your blood pressure could dip a little more than expected.

This is a theoretical concern based on how things work, not a strong, proven interaction. The blood pressure effect from fermented milk is usually small, and ordinary food amounts in yogurt or kefir are unlikely to cause trouble. Still, if you notice dizziness, lightheadedness, or feeling faint, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.
