Furosemide, Potassium falls under DIURETIC DRUGS — the group Figwort interacts with.

Theoretically, overuse of figwort might compound diuretic-induced potassium loss. There is some concern that people taking figwort along with potassium depleting diuretics might have an increased risk for hypokalemia. Initiation of potassium supplementation or an increase in potassium supplement dose may be necessary for some patients. Some diuretics that can deplete potassium include chlorothiazide (Diuril), chlorthalidone (Thalitone), furosemide (Lasix), hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ, Hydrodiuril, Microzide), and others.

Here's the situation with your combo pill that pairs furosemide (a water pill) with potassium. Furosemide does its main job, flushing out extra fluid, by acting directly on your kidneys, so figwort won't really change how the drug itself works. The concern is different: figwort has a mild water-pill-like quality of its own, and in theory using a lot of it could add to the potassium your body is already losing through furosemide.

Honestly, this worry is theoretical and based on how the plant behaves in the lab, not on real patient studies. The good news is your medicine already includes potassium for that very reason. Still, watch for signs of low potassium like muscle cramps, weakness, or an odd heartbeat, and check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding figwort.
