Aspirin, Caffeine, Dover's Pwd falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Forsythia interacts with.

Theoretically, taking forsythia with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs might increase the risk of bleeding due to decreased platelet aggregation. Forsythia might reduce platelet aggregation by inhibiting platelet activating factor. Some of these drugs include aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, ticlopidine (Ticlid), warfarin (Coumadin), and others.

This combination product contains aspirin, which already thins your blood a bit by making platelets less sticky. Forsythia, at least in lab studies, seems to do something similar by blocking a chemical called platelet activating factor. Put them together and, in theory, you could be a little more prone to bleeding or bruising than aspirin alone would cause.

I'll be honest with you: this concern comes from test-tube and animal research, not real patients, and it's rated as unlikely to actually happen. Still, watch for things like easy bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or stomach upset. If you take this regularly or have surgery coming up, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first before adding forsythia.
