Here's the idea behind this one. Sutimlimab (Enjaymo) is an infusion used for cold agglutinin disease. It works by quieting one part of your immune system (the complement pathway) so your body stops destroying its own red blood cells. Fulvic acid, on the other hand, has shown in animal and lab studies that it may rev up immune activity. So in theory, pushing the immune system in one direction while your medication is trying to calm it could work against your treatment.

I want to be honest that this is only theoretical. There are no human studies showing it actually happens, and it's a possible concern, not a proven one. Still, with a drug this important for managing your anemia and fatigue, it's worth a quick chat with your doctor or pharmacist before adding fulvic acid.

What Is Sutimlimab-jome Injection Used For?

Brand name: Enjaymo

Enjaymo (sutimlimab-jome) injection is indicated for the treatment of hemolysis — the breakdown of red blood cells — in adults with cold agglutinin disease (CAD). CAD is a rare autoimmune condition in which the immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys red blood cells, especially in cold temperatures.

Enjaymo works to stop this destruction by targeting a key part of the immune system called the classical complement pathway. It is approved for adults only; safety and effectiveness in children have not been established.
