Metformin, Rosiglitazone falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Galbanum interacts with.

Theoretically, taking galbanum with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
In an animal diabetic model, galbanum resin reduces levels of fasting blood glucose at doses of 100 mg/kg, but not 400 mg/kg. This has not been shown in human research.

Avandamet combines two diabetes medicines, metformin and rosiglitazone, that both work to bring your blood sugar down. The concern here is fairly simple: in one animal study, galbanum resin lowered fasting blood sugar on its own. So if you pair it with your Avandamet, the worry is that your sugar could dip too low, a state called hypoglycemia.

I want to be honest with you though, this is mostly theoretical and comes from animal research, not people. It hasn't been proven in humans. Still, if you ever do use galbanum, it's smart to watch for low-sugar signs like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or confusion, and check your readings. Loop in your pharmacist or doctor before mixing the two so they can keep an eye on things.

What is Galbanum?

Galbanum is an aromatic gum resin from a Ferula plant, used mostly in perfumes, incense, and traditional remedies.
