Here's the simple version: Galphimia glauca seems to have a mild calming, sedative effect of its own. Aripiprazole (Abilify) can also leave some people feeling drowsy or sluggish, especially when first starting it. Put the two together and that sleepy feeling could add up, so you might notice more tiredness, trouble focusing, or feeling a bit foggy.

I want to be honest about how strong this concern is. This is a theoretical interaction based on how the herb behaves, not on solid human studies pairing the two. It isn't about one changing how the other is broken down. Still, if you decide to try Galphimia, go slow and watch for extra drowsiness, and please loop in your pharmacist or doctor first, especially before driving.
