Dr. Brian Staiger explains PharmD, Clinical Pharmacist

Here's the gist with Clobazam (Onfi, Sympazan): this is a benzodiazepine, so it already has a calming, drowsy effect on the brain. Galphimia glauca seems to carry its own mild sedative punch. Stack the two together and you could feel extra sleepy, foggy, dizzy, or unsteady on your feet. This isn't a chemical clash where one changes how the other is broken down; it's simply two calming effects adding up.

I'll be honest, this caution is based on how the herb behaves in the lab and in theory, not on strong human studies, so it may never cause you a problem. Still, since Clobazam treats seizures, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them rather than guessing on your own.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Clobazam page

“Clobazam (Onfi, Sympazan, Frisium) is a benzodiazepine for seizures, so extra sedation is a real safety hazard rather than a nuisance, and that is what most of this list adds. The great majority of these supplements and herbs deepen drowsiness, alcohol in any form among the most serious pairings.”
